Antique Chinese Jade Chest

Posted by Henry (Fall River, United States) on 23 August 2009 in Art & Design and Portfolio.

This piece is part of a private collection of Asian artifacts that I am currently shooting for a catalog.

This piece really caught my eye. Not only for the subject matter and craftsmanship in the carving, but this particular piece of jade seemed to be of an unusually translucent green color. It was quite impressive in person standing about 10" high and about 8" to 9" wide.

Again, I only had several minutes in which to light and shoot it when I would have preferred about an hour. Overall though, I am very satisfied with the photograph.
