Swamp Chicken (bullfrog) No. 1Posted by Henry (Fall River, United States) on 3 September 2008 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. I was photographing around a marsh in Mystic, Connecticut. I came across this big ol' bullfrog resting in the lily pads waiting for his next meal. I remembered my grandfather used to call them "Swamp Chicken" because you can eat them. He ate lots of strange things. Growing up part Native American during the great depression makes you a little traditional and resourceful I guess.
