Shell No.15

Posted by Henry (Fall River, United States) on 26 April 2008 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

I first considered shooting seashells one winter evening when I was looking at a large basket of them that my wife keeps in the den. I was kind of struck by the range of textures and tones I guess. As shooting progressed though I was more intrigued at how these shells can take on very non-shell-like qualities under different light. I've written before about a sense of movement and luminosity in some early posts. Here, I just wonder what non-shell qualities people notice. As always I really appreciate your comments.
