Baby PortraitPosted by Henry (Fall River, United States) on 8 April 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. My approach to baby portraiture is towards the vintage or classical look. That is not to say there's anything wrong with contemporary or journalistic styles, I've seen plenty I like. I just prefer the gorgeous styles of days gone by. I almost always shoot them in black and white. As my portraiture goes, this is currently one of my favorite shots. The sincerity, soul and promise in an infant's eyes is captivating. Uncluttered by hardship and free of opinions and attitude, in a baby's eyes you can often see the clear and gentle promise of what life has to offer. Maybe I think about it all too much, maybe that's a little too poetic, but it is what I feel.
