I was staying in the tiny town of Lomba de Sao Pedro on the island of Sao Miguel in the Azores. The home we were staying in was adjacent to potato fields that were surrounded by lave stone walls. On afternoon I was waiting for my ride to another part of the island and I noticed this small outcropping of ferns growing out of one of the walls. So I took several photos.
I used a Nikon F2 with a 50mm lens with ASA400 black and white film for the shot. In fact I used the same combo for all my photos in Sao Miguel. It was pretty restrictive and the lens didn't allow for a deep depth of field. This resulted in some selective focus choices that I believe gave many of the photos a "vintage" look.

The white frame seems to take away my attention -- just being frank.

@Shuva Brata Deb: No worries on your frankness. It is the standard way I identify my images on the photoblog. It works with some and not with others. Most images can be looked at alternatively in their galleries on my website. Thank you for your comments.
