Brant Point Lanthorn, Nantucket

Posted by Henry (Fall River, United States) on 14 March 2008 in Architecture and Portfolio.

This is the first HDR image I've tried my hand at as an experiment. It's not that the original need much pushing, it just seemed like a good image to try.

The photo is of the Brant Point Lanthorn (lantern) and I took it the same day as Brant Point Dawn. I haven't monkeyed with the color beyond a little saturation. The lanthorn was backlit by the rising sun which was reflecting off the condensation on the glass panels. It really looked like this that morning. When I show in galleries, this is one of my very large images. People seem to like it.
